Runway Centerline Lighting System (RCLS)

When viewed from the landing threshold, the runway centerline lights are white until the last 3,000 feet of the runway. The white lights begin to alternate with red for the next 2,000 feet, and for the last 1,000 feet of the runway, all centerline lights are red.

The airport lights are tungsten halogen lights and are FAA certified. The airfield lighting bulbs are 6.6Ampere and wattages are 30, 45, 65, 100, 200, 500. These airport lights are used in airfield runway lighting in-pavement lighting fixtures.The runway lights go into runway lighting and taxiway lights centerline lights, touchdown zone lights, and stop and hold airfield lighting fixtures.Airport lights in this catagory range from older style L-852 fixtures requireing double ended brass fuses with fuze, to the newer fixtures when the bulbs are MR 11 and MR 16 reflectors.

These airport lighting bulbs meet the requirments listed by the FAA lighting for L-861, L-862, L-880, L-881, and L-858 specifications.
