The FAA has issued its new heliport planning, design and construction Advisory Circular
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recently issued its new Advisory Circular 150/5390-2D, which provides guidance to the rotorcraft community on heliport planning, design and construction. This AC supersedes previously issued guidance from 2012 and is largely voluntary in nature. The FAA notes that these standards and guidelines are recommended for establishing an acceptable level of safety, performance, and operation for heliports.
